NA vs. TII fuel tank

are the tanks the same in 86-88 or are they different depths.?

I believe the are the same except for the fuel pump itself.But I'm not sure.

The tanks are the same, the fuel pump is not.

The tanks are the same, the fuel pump is not.

And, the screw holes line up for either fuel pump. This is not the case as it relates to a S4 vs S5 gas tank.
(I did this retro-fit just to see if I could. I was beyond easy)

Screw holes are different. So, if you look to retro-fit a S5 gas tank, you'll want to grab the S5 fuel pump also not only because of the different screw hole alignment, but because the S5 tank is deeper. A S4 fuel pump wouldn't reach deep enough to take advantage of the extra 2 gallon capacity.
