Definite answer....NO
The turbo driveshaft WILL NOT connect to the n/a rear end. Lenth is different. Bolt pattern is different. Just different. Either have Mazdatrix sell you one that will fit (just ask them on the telephone), or go to a local driveshaft maker and ask him to make you one that will fit. That gets complicated if he does not have the car at his shop or have the proper lengths/pattern/yoke etc given to him.
I run a retrofitted non turbo to a turbo and am using the non turbo rear end for year or so. Called and bought from Mazdatrix for simplicity's sake.

I was obviously wrong about the length of the non turbo vs the turbo driveshaft. IceMark did the redrill of the non turbo drive shaft on his conversion. IceMark didn't seem 100percent pleased with his redrilled driveshaft IF I remember a post of his right.
It's the automatic driveshaft that will fit the turbo transmission and the non turbo rear end....but it's a touch shorter than it should be. And do you really want to put a used automatic driveshaft in your car? Especially one that's shorter than it should be??
And how good are you at drilling a perfect/concentric pattern for the rear of the driveshaft so it will fit and not be off balance? Then again....if your short on dough.....do what you've gotta do.
If you get one from Mazdatrix or have one made from a shop in your area you can get replacable U-Joints

The auto ds is 2" too short. If you try to use it you're likely to tear up the rear of your car.
Re-drilling the rear flange on the t2 ds is not too difficult. But yes, you do have to take care.
