I heard somthing out there about using one from an auto but I think it wasn't the best approach. Hopefully this will point you into the right direction.

Got one for sale 130$

You need a NA drive shaft and the front yoke from a auto. Then grinde and press out the stacked joints and get special joints online and press them into the shaft.

mazdatrix sells one. the automatic one is rare and will probably cost as much as the mazdatrix one once you buy it. also, its an inch too short even though others have used it jank-ccessfully in the past.

I was thinking about it, but I have an LSD, and I got it overhauled not too long ago.

mazdatrix one is 300$

Cost me 170$ plus time to modify my NA shaft not including my gas driving to get the AT shaft.

NOPR - Yes you can use a AT shaft and as you said it is to short and has been known to fall out. You can also use a TII shaft and drill new holes in the rear yoke but leaves a large margin for imbalancing.

i got a auto driveline at a junk yard for 10 dollars,
it can work but it is TOO SHORT!,

you will HAVE to fab up a one inch spacer and use longer bolts. with a spacer id say its prolly OK, and the driveline would break in half before it tried to damage the spines in the trany.... but even this isnt a great aprouch balancing is an inssue it will wear out faster then normal.

with out the spacer its dangerously short, like fitting half an inch onto the splines of the trany!!!!

i still say do a full t11 swap ... if ur woried about ur rebuilt gxl rear end then sell it ... put that money towards the rest of the drive train ... the money and tim ull spend to keep the rear end isnt worth it in the long run

^BS MARTIN is runing 400hp on NA trany and rear end I was pushing around 270 on NA LSD and launched it and wheel hoped it several times very hard with no ill results. If you beat on it the rear end is good for 300hp
