Question na to TII swap

alright, my motor caught on fire and i dont want to get rid of the body cause its still nice, its an 88 and i have found a complete S5 TII swap for a nice price, includes the complete wiring harness uncut and ecu basically everything needed to make the motor start and run, but would i have to get a different rear end or could i just use the na's rear end? a little advice would be great!

thanks

search TII swap, this topic is brought up all the time.

but for a quickie answer:

you can use your N/A drivetrain, you just need to swap on the corresponding series flywheel from an N/A to mate it to the N/A drivetrain.........or swap the full TII drivetrain in.

NA tranny/diff is good to around 300 crank HP, NOT rearwheel. you should be ok till you start modding it, AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY WHEEL HOP. Wheel hop brakes **** fast.

Hey, I'm on the verge of dropping an s5 T2 in my 88n/a as well. I have been asking around... So it's okay to use the s4 n/a rear end with the s5 motor?

you need a custom driveshaft to use a tii tranny. Or use everything from flywheel to diff. from your n/a.
