NA->T2 swap, surging idle and dead meter

Hey guys, I need a little help on my t2 swap. I've searched through the archives and got some help but need a little clearification.

First, I got a crappy idle. Only happens after the warmup is done and returns to normal idle, then it surges back and forth. I can't tell you the idle speed, cause that's my next problem. My meters, including the tach, are dead. I'm continuosly blowing meter fuses.

For the idle I'm check for vacuum leaks and couldn't find anything. I'll test the BAC and TPS and verify everything is grounded. Any other insight?

For the meter I'm just totally confused. It worked fine yesterday when I first started the car up (for about 30 sec). Then today nothing but trouble. Along with that, there are two wires (yellow w/ red strip) for the fuel pressure. One goes to the "condenser" that's mounted on the clutch slave cylinder, and the other goes to the pressure sender. Where extactly does the one for the sender actually attach?

Thanks for any help!
