Hey guys i just dropped in a gxl lsd in my s5 vert and the preload was about 20lbs with new gear fluid. Im aiming to lock up as hard as i can when i drift but i dont want my tires to chirp daily driving, i was thinking about 80-100? If so how many cans should i use?

 

there was someone on here who did it with cans, i just cant remember who or how many. if you look hard enough, im sure you will find the person who did it.lol

I did it the exact same way as mac.
Works fine, doesn't "chirp" the tires at low speed.
Makes a slight chatter sound when it's warm and I'm doing a full lock turn like into a parking space.
I assume that's the sound of the clutches resisting slip as the differential does its job.

Have about 8,000 miles, no issues or problems.

 

How many shims did you use? And you put them in between each cone right?

 

And what's your preload?
