NA FC Haltech Premium Harness Wiring Questions

Hey all, I'm about to tear into my dash and attempt to simplify the factory wiring and add the Haltech Elite 750 to the mix. My question is does anyone have or know of a write up out there that has gone over what can be removed, spliced into, and relocated? My car is going to be a road/track car with all the lights, heater, and 4 speakers. I understand its going to be an *** load of work, I have the F.S.M. and I have been doing research, I just would like to see what others have done.

Thanks,

You only have to take the Engine harness out(passenger side) to hook up the Haltech.
The Wiper motor wiring will be on that harness so it needs to be taken off the whole harness that you have removed.
Other than that you can get the engine wired up rather easily.

Now if you want to clean up the chassis harness,I can help you on that as I left some connectors on (like coil wiring, etc) on the Driver's side..But you can do that easily too..just terminate those wires.

Ya I want to clean up the chassis side. The Haltech harness has wires for the coils and CAS so I wanted to know what else could be removed from that harness. Like which relays, can I remove the fuel pump resistor box thing behind the passenger headlight, and more of those type of items. Also I want to remove the factory wiring all the way back to the pins so Is there anything under the dash I need to be cautious to remove?

Oh boy..
The chassis harness (driver's side) Is a total snot bag and if you want to de-pin or take off **** that you don't need then you will be removing the dash in order to do so..As it scoots across the inside of the firewall.
Also it holds the Driver's side fuse box and takes off from there through the hole at the firewall(DR Side) out and around the front of the car..It has the lights and horn wiring in it,along with signals..etc.

If you do not want to delve into that fiasco then I suggest that you cut any Unwanted connectors and terminate them.Wrap the harness with a new Wrap to "hide" the tape and you are good to go..there is NO 6 hour ripping into the car just to take wires off..The car will still be Runnable and HURRAY..you will still have an intact dash!

Oh and Ya..you can take the AFM,Fuel resistor at the headlight, etc off as the Haltech deals with all the necessary wiring needed to run the Engine..(even fuel pump..)

Thank you, I think I am going to "delve into that fiasco" LOL. I have a few more things to buy for the build so while saving cash I have nothing but time (that was all reason for all the polishing as well). I also want to know for my own piece of mind everything behind the dash has been checked and tightened, there has always been something rattling back there.

Also thanks, your other posts on here have helped answer many other questions I've had over the years!
