N370 ECU differences?

I've seen three different part numbers for N370 ECUs so far. Does anyone know what the differences between them are? I'm not finding anything helpful when searching

I've seen:
N370-18-880
N370-18-880A
N370-18-881

Are there any other variations?

the parts catalog only lists N370-18-880, but N370-18-880A would mean there is some revision, and then probably N370-18-881. the chain is not in the mazda computer right now, but it should go to an N370-18-881R.

ok N370-18-881R works, but its not the current number!

I know -880 and -880A are listed as "P/N Archived - order S/S" when I look them up on Mazdaspeed. I just got a used -881 from Ebay.

I can understand them being some kind of revision series, but is there any documentation or sources that indicate what was revised? Was it some part supplier changed, or did some minor functionality get tweaked?

I'm sure any N370 is interchangeable with any other N370, but I'm really curious what the minor part number changes mean.

sometimes there is some documentation, but not in this case (that ive seen, there totally could have been some parts flash). we know its not a supplier, as ND makes all of them.

there might be some minor tweak to the map, but that's speculation.

the R is a reman, so that one at least has an explanation

By supplier, I meant one of the sub-components like one of the chips or relays, etc, although I don't know if ND would propagate that info to Mazda.

Ah well, I guess it remains a mystery. Thanks
