N353 ECU wiring identification help

I have a 1991 RX7 NA (S5) with an N353 ECU. I am trying to implement the 3b wire cut mod for alleviation of hot starts (as outlined in several threads). The problem I am having is that the instructions apply to an S4 I believe and I have an S5 and so my ECU wires are completely different colors and in different locations. There is a thread that suggests the 3b equivalent wire in my car is 1C and that the color is black with a red stripe. I went to search for this in the spot the person indicated it should be but I cannot find it. There are three plug connectors on my ECU, two large and one small (small one in the middle). Can anyone help out with this please? Thanks. Thanks.

Yes, 1C is the START signal and there is a jpg attached. In the jpg your looking at the wire side of the electrical plug that attaches to the ECU. It's the plug on the far right as you look at the ECU.

Japs have this plug reading from the right to the left in a up/down fashion.

Should be a BLACK wire with a RED stripe on it.

Actually I'd NEVER cut a wire. Those wires in the ECU plugs can be extracted. You extract a wire by pulling the plug off the ECU. Now look into the side opposite the wire. There is a plastic tab that you move up with a very small jewlers screwdriver (anything very small that will fit) and at the same time pull on the wire a bit til it comes out. IF forced to cut the wire, cut it a couple of inches aft of the plug so it can be joined back together at a later date.

P.S. If the wire in 1C is not black/red...........write back and let me know. The online series five show both turbo and non turbo wires in 1C as black with red stripe. I do not own a series five so I can't say one way or the other. I *** u ME d that the online manual was right. It could make a *** out of u and me....humor.

This is exactly what I needed, thanks Hailers!

I pulled it and there is improvement. With the engine hot, I can start it after the second turn of the key, sometimes three. This is an improvement over the situation before removing the wire.

As mentioned in my other posts in the past......................your probably gonna have COLD start problems when the ambient temp is in the 50*F range. I don't know the exact temp when you'll start having cold start problems. Probably will start but will involve a bit of starter cranking. Gone
