N332 and N333, will they work w/ any s4 TII?

I'm trying to find an ecu to get the car running. I have an 88tii. Will a n332 (87) ecu work or do I need a n333?
If they both work, what are the differences between them (other than the year they were used)?

Any response is appreciated.

I thought one was low impedence (n332) and the other high? or is that s4 and s5 and i'm just retarded?

the ecu is high, the injectors decide whether or not resistors are needed. I was thinkin the N333 was for a vert but still worked for the TII?

The N332 was a 87 TII application
The N333 was a 88 TII application

Vert ECUs are as follows;

N338
N352
N353

Here are the applicable ECUs for a S4 Turbo car

N332
N333
N338

My 87 TII came with the N332. I have an N333 in it at the moment, and it's working perfectly. I think there's a minor difference regarding the injectors, but I forget what it is, and I don't think it matters. Like it was stated earlier, the ECU doesn't see the different injector impedences.

Thanks for the responses fellas. Now I know which ones I can use.
Now, I'll just have to check which injectors come w/ the engine when I get it. An 88 harness is on the way, so I can only use low imp (peak hold) right?

Why is this so confusing when it’s already been stated.

A 1988 uses high impedance injectors! The ECU does not matter at all! The only thin that determines injectors are the harness. The year only dictates what the car was packaged with from factory.

He is right. The end load that all ECUs see is 10-12 ohms. The only difference from the 86-87.5 and the 87.5 on is that the 86-87.5 had low impedance injectors with resistors to match, and the 87.5 on had high impedance injectors. Again, the load on the ECU was still the same.

How is it possible that a vert ecu N338 can run a TII motor? The vert comes with n/a injectors(450cc). Won't this make the turbo motor run rich since it has 550cc injectors?

Ok sorry for the noobness. Use high imp (red clips) injectors with my 88 harness, or make a resistor pack if I get one with low imp (tan clips).

For some odd reason it does work.
If you do a search on the subject, Donnie Peters of the now-defunct Sun Auto figured this out.
We've tried it, and amazingly enough it works.

Stop ******* with the fuel injectors, and ignore all the stupid comments about impedence.
Just plug the ECU into the wiring harness and be happy.
Don't mess with the fuel injectors, cause you don't need to worry about it.

N332, N333, N338 all work.
You don't need to worry about the fuel injector impedence...nothing.

hahaha, cause it's one of those myths that STILL seem to pop up every once in a while.
Just like the whole GT-R versus GT-X thing...
Really freeeeakin' stupid!

Thanx for the update on the wheels!
We might throw em on the 20B, cause the owner it bitching about buying new tires.
If your tires are better than the ones I got on the Panasports, then the SA-3's are going on the 20B FC...damn winter rain here in Hawaii. :P

I even got a set of good, used center caps for the SA-3's I picked up on eBay!
Am I crazy or what?
