N1 Dual
Mazdatrix has a dyno sheet. go to there site they got a 28% increase in rear wheel horse power with the true duals. that is over 30rwhp on a good running engine. All this on an N/a. A turbo car will react better to this kind of modification but the duals are only for N/a's so a 3" straight exhaust would mostlikely give at least the same amount for the N/a but probably much MUCH more bro.
sticking to the main topic on this thread, n1 duals, is there a noticable power difference when comparing the single n1 to the dual? which one has more? I know the single is lighter then the dual but in my opion the dual looks alot better.
Also I have on my turbo right now the greddy sp catback, with down & mid pipe. I know the pipe on the greddy SP isn't as big as the n1 but is worth the money to switch? am I going to notice that much of a power gain to convince myself it's worth the money.
And just incase you were curious, the only reason I put the greddy on the turbo is because thats what I had on my n/a, so I just swapped. i also had the bonez race pipe, great setup, great sound. I raced a couple of other rx's with headers and full exhaust but never really notice a differece in power, we were always pretty close so in my personal opion, the bonez race pipe is alot better bang for the buck then the header.

fc3s driver, i used to have the greddy pe on my car, but going from a 3" dp to 2.5" piping created a lot of backpressure, so i had to upgrade to a full 3" set up with the n1 mufflers. now there is a nice solid flow and no back pressure. so if you are still on the stock turbo, i don't think it would be worth it to ditch the greddy to get the apexi n1. the greddy is a very nice system. i say stick with that.
racing beat quotes 56 @ the wheels with a full exhaust for a TII (need an FCD though). N1 duals are not big mufflers at all, actually they are fairly small compared to say Greddy's stuff. They do however hang real low and angled making them look a lot bigger than they are since you see more of the mufflers exposed. as far as power goes though, look at it this way...a full exhaust on an NA will net serious power compared to the stock stuff. a full system on a TII get you better spool, more boost and loads of torque and power. the key to BOTH systems is the downpipe/midpipe sections. a catback only (especially on an old stock cat) won't get you a ton of power. go for a motor-back exhaust.
