Question n00b question

Hi, I tried using the search option for my question, but it wouldnt do it because what im looking for is under the 3 letter quota.
I am desperately looking for an RX7, and I preferably want an 88-91 Turbo 2. Im Canadian and I just recently found an 88 RX7 AE for $11,000. other than that I found one listed as a "88 Mazda RX7 GX" and it said it was turbo'd. Is this like a turbo 2? Whats a GX?? Ive never heard of one before... and its only $2000! is this good? anyone? or am I just plain stupid?

I haven't heard about a GX but that doesn't mean there wasn't one. Maybe they left out the "L" to have made GXL, those are common.

Here's a couple of pages that go over the FC's detailed specs, trim and otherwise.

$2k canadian would be good if it's in good shape. There are a lot of good threads on buying advice.

Hope that helps. Cheers

Well, to let you know, 89-91 TurboII's are a rare find, and they tend to sell quite expensive (about 6-8K USD) But if you're really set on them, then go for it. Series 4 TII's are more common, and just as good, and price varies dramatically on these. Good luck browsing, chances are that GX was a turbo converted GXL, and a letter got dropped, but definatly want to look at it BEFORE you buy it to make sure.

I'm pretty sure that the GX is just the Canada spec version of the GXL.

The 2Gen Canadian GX was a non-turbo base model, similar to the American SE. If you found one with a turbo, then the owner had it installed.
