n/a throttle body

hey, does anyone know what the rod is for next to the tps, (not the adjuster screw for tps, there is a rod next to it that has a spring on it loosely, kinda sorta has a nut at the end and plastic stuff... what does that adjust?

i dont know how else to explain it i gotta get pics later on...

i thought s5 uses tps and a few other electronic devices to determine omp operation.

The S5 uses the full range TPS for the OMP. Sounds like you have a S5?

Please take some pictures. I have spare S5 TB's but so far have not seen what you are talking about

Your logo says this is a carb car. Sounds like *someone* installed a series four front cover on the engine with a mech omp. There's not enough information in your post for one to figure out what is what. I saw the CARB in your profile.

uhh my carb's been long gone, im working on my 91 s5 n/a, with a auto to 5 spd swap done, and some suspension work... i accidentally turned this nut while adjusting my tps, (curiosity...) and dont know what it does... LOL...

now on the front side of the car you can see that...

8mm nut with stop screw
a something adjuster screw that cant seem to be reached as it points upwards towards the passenger side... (didnt touch this..)
a rod connecting the peice that is stoped by the stop screw to something else... with a plastic bushing like thing.. and a small nut at the end. like... 5 mm?
then tps adjuster..

this is described from the throttle body towards the radiator...

i found out the fast idle screw is actually against the firewall, from pictures of another post while searching...

so.. thats that.

yes my car is a s5.. 57k on the clock HAHAH the only thing i am proud of...
