n/a t2 harness
I'm ready to put in my s4 t2 into my 87 gxl. The t2 harness is roached out pretty bad. Brittle wires and someones previous hack job. I have my stock n/a harness which I've read is easier to adapt for swaps. I'm Jus wondering what mods need to be done to work??

On the S5 model the only mods to use the NA harness on the TII engine are that there are 2 solenoids that the NA uses that the TII does not. You clip those off and one wires to the knock sensor and the other the boost controller.
I'm unsure if it the same for the S4 model or not. It is simple to figure out though. Download the FSM and look at the ecu wiring pin outs of both NA and TII then note the differences.

Yes, I've read ur threads rocket. I am not running any emissions so I really didn't have to mod to much. Tps was the only plug that didn't reach. Bac didnt reach either but I'm not using that. I'm not running p/s so no need for knock box mod. Imo at least. And I'm using a s5 turbo set up so no need to swap twin scroll/split air solenoid. Everything else plugged right in. I will be attempting to fire it up today. Ill keep an update or possible make a little thread for those who need help also. So far its been super straight forward.

im running na harnesses in both my swaped car and my real t2 haha( cant source a good t2 harness )
on the na in an na car, i would just lengthen the tps wires by probably8 inches or so. leave all teh emissions stuff unpluged, and then dont run the knock box( pretty useless anyway as it only functions at low rpm anyway) you may have to get a little creative when you route the harness to make it plug in easily on the injectors. make sure you dont mix them up either!
then with no ps theres no need to cut the wire.
