The Lounge is down bellow guys so stop being dicks. Here's an idea, answer the question or move along.

OP, there's quite a few options, but the general consensus is that Racing Beat is the way to go. Here's the link: http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1986-1...-Exhausts.html

Here's a video of my car with the RB exhaust... it's decently quiet cruising around town, until you hit north of 5,000 rpm's or so...

Racing Beat is your best bet

If you want to go custom, borla mufflers or SMB (sold by mazdatrix) or a combination of the two. For simplicity purposes, you cant beat RB and its bolt on system.

RB doesn't have a single exit system.. Are you thinking of having a custom pipe to just a single RB muffler? That might be a bad idea... They're not designed to flow 100% through 1 muffler..

@derekcat: where did you get that information from? just curious to know how you came to the conclusion that "a racing beat muffler wasn't designed to have 100% of the exhaust flow through it"?

not flaming you, just genuinely asking.

Well leading up to the y-pipe the exhaust is larger than after the y-pipe. You have two smaller pipes that lead to each can. If you only used one can then the exhaust will only flow as well as the most restrictive part. In this case it would be one small pipe leading to one can rather than a y-pipe and two small pipes leading to two cans.

but then thats why racing beat offers their powerpulse mufflers in a variety of inlet sizes (2.5"-3"):

http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1986-1...omponents.html

and here's the link to their bolt on exhaust systems:

http://www.racingbeat.com/mazda/perf...t-systems.html

in my opinion, two canisters are mainly for looks and slightly muffle better than a single exit exhaust but i highly doubt they improve exhaust velocity. all this information can be found by simply searching
