Well, I have a street port, no 6p, and my VDI is in high... My low end is perfectly drivable, enough power for me...
I suppose it is a little less than stock, but not by much... and who cares when you're putting out so much more power over 5000! (plus the 9000 RPM redline! -89+)

Well, my best run was a 14.54 at 99.7 MPH.... my first gear kindof sucks for some reason, and that was on real bad tires (the high MPH indicates a much better ET potential). Most runs were high 14's.

That was before my S-AFC, 225's, and I still had the stock Y-pipe, and just a gutted cat....

I know the car is running much faster now... but I don't know how much
Probably consistant low 14's... maybe a 14 flat if I get lucky!

Just the porting doesn't really justify tearing the engine apart just to do.. it's a lot of work for 15-20% more HP.
If the engine needs a rebuild anyways, well, it's a good thing to do.
Get the biggest street port/extend port that you can....
You will always want more power!! I almost wish I saved the money, and I'd be able to do the turbo conversion quicker than I am!

Why do you need bigger secondaries????
Unless you have a MONSTER port, or Pport or something, running well over 250 HP you will never need bigger injectors- trust me!!!

NA guys get more power by LEANING the mixture out!! My S-AFC is running about -10% leaner in the midrange, and about -3% up high!

I made that mistake too, and now I have a full set of 550cc injectors I won't need untill the turbo goes in!

If you get the 550cc secondaries anways, without the S-AFC you will more likely LOSE power!

If you are staying N/A, with a regular street port, you will never need the 550cc's.
The S-AFC is still a GREAT upgrade though! Will give you maybe 10 more peak HP, but at least 20 in the midrange! (really improves ET's!)

Really your saying dont get it then. The guy here in New Jersey who is doing my engine Ito at JR Rotory dont know if you read about him, said I will need them. Well so stick with stock it what you are saying then? BTW we are shooting for 200+ h/p if that emans anything not 250 though.
But go with the S-AFC then soemtime in the future still though right?

Thanks
Nick

Yep.. the S-AFC will really impove the overall speed of the car.
You won't pick up more than 10HP or so at peak (7000 rpm)
but you will have MUCH more power lower down, around the 4000 area... so when you shift gears, you are suddenly into a spot where you had 20 hp more than before!! Much broader power curve.
