N/A S4 to S5

I've searched, to no avail.

I have an '86 base with a relatively low mileage, strong engine, decent interior but an iffy body. I've got some body work lined up, but have potential access to a clean, freshly painted '89 with a shot engine and some decent parts (wheels, etc).

I was wondering how much would be involved in swapping the engine. Off hand, I know I'll have to change the ECU and harnesses. Is this gonna be crazy? Is the CPU compatible? Is the dash compatible? Is there anything else major to do?

This car is not my daily driver, so this swap is not urgent.

Thanks,

Mike.
