If you mean insanely rich like black deposits all over your rear bumper, then you probably need to check out / replace the O2 sensor.

My exhaust pipe angles down, and I got black deposits all over the ground in my driveway... I have no O2 sensor... Is there a way of leaning it out without touching the computer heh?

Cheers

How about you add an O2 sensor?

Why the hell wouldn't you run an O2 sensor? You can lean it out using an SAFC, or something similar. Either way you'll have to lean it out using the computer, unless you want to go carb.

O2 only used at idle...if it's richer than normal everywhere in the rpm range, it's probably something else like maybe high fuel pressure, bad injector or something...

I haven't had a problem with black spots on the bumper or driveway.. I was just trying to find out if they are supposed to run rich normally.. And will leaning it out some hurt the dynamics of the engine?? Thanks for all the feedback so far,

Jimmy

You can actually gain as much as 8-10 hp from figures I've heard from buying a piggy-back fuel controller and leaning it out. Not necessarilly worth the money for a bone stock car, but probably worth it if the car is pretty modified. Before you do that, however, it won't be a bad idea to have your injectors and regulator and everything checked out.
