N/A Guys come here...
I have a bunch of questions that just came to mine and I really want to know all of it because since I dont have the money to do a TII swap I want to make my N/A faster than it is...without porting it(I cant port it because I dont know how to do it and I dont have the money for it) so I was wondering all of this:
***Note***most are n00b questions
1) What is the gain by putting on headers on it?
2)What is the best size for the piping and the best exhaust for the car to gain power?
3)What are the pineapple 6-port sleeves and how do they work/ what is the gain?
4)Should I upgrade my injectors? and to what?
5) Suggestions(type in any suggestions you also may have)

1) Better flow and better design than the stock exhaust manifold, plus if you get something like the RB header/presilencer combo it will get rid of all of the cats and that will show better gains. You can also do a test pipe in place of the cat instead of the silencer. If you intend to keep the cat with an RB header you'll need a custom catback for it to fit. Also, if you get a road race header you can have a true dual exhaust system which shows nice gains from what I hear (personally I have a collected RB header). Don't expect to have any cats with the road race header and don't expect to pass emissions with no cats.
2) With a collected header, 2.5" the rest the way back is good. With a road race header (1 pipe for each exhaust port) I think it's something like 2" all the way back. As for which exhaust is best, I'd think an RB collected header with a presilecner or test pipe and then a SINGLE exhaust catback 2.5" with a big straight through "can" would be the least restrictive, most power, and lightest you can get (less weight=faster car too!)
3) Pineapple sleeve inserts go into your aux port sleeves and smooth out the transition/flow into the 5th and 6th ports. Better/smoother flow=gains, how much not sure.
4) No, not unless you're putting down some serious power or going nitrous.
5) Suggestions:
- Full exhaust header back with the least amount of restrictions as possible
- Intake, possibly cold air with as big of piping as you can get away with
- Weight reduction, less weight makes for a faster car
- Lightweight flywheel
- Intake manifold/TB porting
- Better tires and stiffer suspension = better launching and grip. Plus a better suspension will allow you to handle better as well
- Nitrous (if you do this then you might wanna upgrade your fuel a bit)
- Better plug wires and something like an MSD6A or the like
- SAFCII with wideband 02 sensor and afr gauge and tune it
Can't think of anything more at this time, but take your pic of the suggestions.

When my car was in its prime it was probably a low 15-second car. I repeatedly walked on my friend's 944. So an NA won't be a really fast car, but you might actually like it.

i have a friend who custom builds rotary engines and can rebuild your engine with all new parts street ported or bridgeported , for 1200 with new seals etc N/A, my friend owns a 88 mazda turboii that runs 11s in the 1/4 mile. and n/as running 11's. although bridgeporting makes your car very fast, it is also very loud and illegal. shooting 3 foot flames out of the exhaust. n/a gets 260-280 bridge ported, 180-220 street ported.

i want to get my engine bridgeported, but i really dont know the life expectancy of any engine ported like that, or what kind of upgrades youll need to make . any ideas on how long your engine will last bridgeported n/a, depending on your upgrades. do you think you should convert to 5 lug if you only have 4 lug ?

engine life is shortened, but not drasitcally, a halfe bride is pretty decent for street use, but forsome people anything that isn't as reliable as a honda civic, its not streetable

its all about driving fast
but, dose a half bridge have the crappy idle of a full bridge (im tring to deside between the half and a street port)
