N/A Fuel System Upgrades. What Should i Do?

Before anyone wines about searching, i did that, and got some good info...but not what i was looking for....so anywayz...

I was just wondering what type of fuel system upgrades my N/A will need when i get the engine back. Engine has just had a fresh Rebuild, and has a Heavy Streetport in it. Other Mods as Follows:

Apex-i Intake
Pacesetter Header
High Flow Cat
Corksport 3" Exhaust

The car currently has 0 Fuel System Upgrades done, and i was basically looking for advice as to what i need to make this a fast, reliable N/A? (What Size Injectors, Type Of fuel Pump ect....)

Get an S'afc. keep it at that, without forced induction yoru stock fuel system should keep up.

You shouldn't do anything, except send your injectors off to be cleaned. Get an SAFC and get it dyno tuned, so you can LEAN out the mixture and make some more power.

With a big streetport you may be getting close to topping out the stock injectors, they could probably swing it, but if your a nervous nancy like myself I'd at least get an upgraded pump, and maybe some TII secondaries.

Just my .02$

Fuel upgrades are completely unnecessary. There's no way you'll need more fuel with anything less then a bridgeport.

Get an S-AFC, and lean it out about 10% for starters. Then get progressivly leaner until your butt dyno tells you to stop. This is, of course, best done with a real dyno.

all i could say to be say is possibly t2 injectors and maybe a t2 pump , that both could be aquired failry cheap and its a safe bet. then a safc and a few dyno runs and you should be in great shape

How about a SAFC combined with a Wideband so you can see what your doing with the SAFC. Yeah.

The biggest thing is clean injectors. (Mine are getting done next week)

The next weakest link is the fuel pump voltage.
The pumps tend to last, but your old stock wiring harness may have some voltage drop at the pump.

An S-AFC is out of my budget now, but get one if you can.

No, no no! No again. Don't reply if you don't know.

Stock injectors and fuel pump is fine.

The SAFC is to LEAN OUT the fuel mixture. The Wideband is to SEE what your doing. No more fuel is needed on a stock engine.

Don't waste your time with pumps and injectors! You do not need them!

Apex'i Super Air Flow Convertor. It's the Japlish name of an interceptor that allows you to alter mixtures based on load and rpm.

BUT Aaron!!!! it's not cool to read what you wrote and posted, as long as you think more fuel always helps! I mean seriously, i wanted to put a fuel line directly into 4 supra injectors *MKIIV YO!1* and put one into each Intake runner on the manifold and the get a Wharelebo super mega 50,00 pump and run those injectors til they hurt and then i'm sure i'd lay down at least 700 more HP! and that's without using the tornado or the magnetic fuel saver found "only on tv!"

Ok now seriously...

yeah, read what the smart people say and don't add anything if you have no idea (and yes i have so been in your shoes). i know it's fun sometimes because you MIGHT get right, but for the most part you will be wrong and look DUMB.
Newbs, just listen, ask questions and PAY ATTENTION. you learn a lot more that way and actually listening to this stuff and trying it (with good expirenced advice), you can gain a ton of expirence and get your car running better too.

Ranting but making good points when you are drunk is fun. Aaron, how's the brideport coming?

ok just so everybody knows i wasn't poking fun at anybody in peticular. just ranting and raving and trying to sound really smart :-) just don't want to hurt anybody's feelings because i was just having a good time playing with an overthreaded issue with a lot of misinformation.

Just so everyone knows....you are the most confusing people ever...lmao....I am going to go with basically stock everything. Only things im going to buy is an SAFC and a wideband, throw it on a Dyno and make the best i can out of that.....if for any odd reason it wants more fuel (tho by the sounds of what SOME people said it will be fine) then i will do a few small upgrades...but for now it seems stock will be sufficient.

If you do the calcs, at .55 BSFC (aka a well tunned car) the NA injectors are good to ~250 HP at 80% duty cycle. The minimum flow rate given in the fsm for the NA fuel pump works out to somewhere around 240 HP.
