N/A FC vs. Mr2 Turbo

What is the 88 N/a And Tii FCs stock quarter mile times?

How do you guys think id do against my older brothers 91 Mr2 turbo... hes got...an apexi intake, some cheap hks exhaust, and a manual boost controller set to 12 psi.

I have, no pre-cats, no smog pump, Intake, and an ignition amp.

the catch is he thinks hes got a slipping clutch, so it might handicap him a lil. Think from the lower gears and launch i could take him til 50-60?

When i bought this car, i told him i was gonna make it faster than his car, haha, prob gonna need a swap.

He already knows my FD is faster. Owned him real bad there =D

Ive raced one. I dont know why people think im shittin them or that its impossible when i had my other boys with me watchin the race. I have an 88 SE, hks intake, straight pipe, out a single with some weight redux. yeah off the line, he instantly put a car on me, and pretty much stayed that way,i got beat but no i did not get smashed. Ide say i pretty much kept up wit it. But that catch is that the driver*my friend* is not as good a driver as me, so i think that made the difference.

Ya ive chased my brother before and i dont fall too far behind. i think with the ignition amp and a few other modifications. and off the line i could put up a good fight since he doesnt want to launch his mr2 hard at all cause hes scared of frying his clutch.

Eh. it doesnt matter that im slower as an N/A FC. Itd just be fun if i won cause that would be ultimate proof im a better driver.

But in my FD back when i had intake, exhaust and powerfc. Hed try to downshift in 3rd and pass me, and all id have to do is get on the gas in 4th, dont even have to downshift, and just start pullin away =)

They're good for high 14's stock, with simple mods they're a high 13. Yes, it all depends on the driver, but it's hard to screw up that bad.

Haha true. but the 7 will never lose.

I like how the FC pulls a tad bit harder from 5k to 7k. as though it was vtec or something haha. can anyone explain why?

I wonder what Stock N/A 88 dyno out too?

Cause i know most mr2s dyno out to 145-155 whp stock?

yeha its odd but true. The craziest thing happened when my friend and his e36 with 2 other passengers and i raced with a passenger in my car. I launched from 4.5 and spin but i put half a car on him instantly. He said he had traction control on, i thought so too because i heard a chirp and saw it bog. haha. I thought to myself he would just come by flying right past me even with a bad launch but he stayed half a car behind me from the start till we shut down. Its crazy and we was surprised. I heard he wasnt a really good driver, but thats still a win for me. =]

so i guess the driver makes all the difference.
