N/A cluster with tII engine..

I have a tII engine in my n/a with an n/a cluster. I am aware that the turbo redlines 1000rpm before the n/a. Do you think it would be possible to buy a set of gauge covers for a turbo and use them on the n/a cluster? i just want a visual of the redline. I own an aftermarket boost guage also, so the factory one doesnt need to be in operation.

I have a funny story. On my GTUs it has a TII engine, N/A cluster. When I first got the car(it had the swap already done) I would bring that sucker to 8k when I stretched its legs. Never did I hit a rev limiter except the time I missed 2nd gear and bounce at 8500 or something. Call me crazy but I have another example. I was riding in a GXL-TII about 2 weeks ago and the owner brought the car to 8k twice without hitting the TII's rev limiter. It makes me wonder....is there some sort of discrepency with the ECU's and how the tach is connected? Or am I simply crazy?

I know about the ebay gauges, im just not sure if they can work...Im not sure if the 8k is a good idea.. im sure there would more wear on the internals bringing it 1000revs over its redline.. Who knows, ahh i think it may be my best option to source a t2 cluster,

I had a NA cluster in my t2 (previous owner cut out oil press and put in autometer boost). today i tried to install a t2 cluster but the boost, temp, and oil pressure didnt work. I looked at the connectors on the two different clusters, and the NA had 3 less wires...
