N/A to boosted N/A scenario...need help
Ok im real confused on what could be wrong, and i dont wanna dump tons of money into a project before i know what the likely problem is.
there is an N/A engine street ported 13b in an S5, it has been turboed. it still has the same N/A computer but its running boost, the problem is it the car shuts down after about 10 minutes of idling, and then wont turn back on untill the car is completely cooled down, sometimes an hour after shutting itself off. its had a full tune up, 550 injectors and all the wires have been soldered so there is no short or bad ground, but it seem like and electrical problem. i dont know if it should be switched to a TII ecu, get the car professionally tuned, or if it could be as simple as buying an ESM to stop the MAP from seeing the boost signal, since the engine is orignally an N/A and its boosted, and the ecu is still an N/A. i know a lot of honda guys that boost thier N/A's use the ESM's to trickt the ECU, but ive never owned a mazda so i dont really know what to do? any help
thanks, mike

The NA MAP's cant even read boost, it will just go right off it's scale. Not that the ECU would know what to do with boost even if it could see it.
If you do fix the problem with it shutting off it's going to blow up unless you get a better ECU and the MAP to go with it.
I might be wrong, but i think you can use the S5 Turbo ECU with the S5 NA harness. There's still the problem of the higher compression so you'll need a way to tune it no matter what.
