N\A Auto to TII Manual 20b swap

I am planning on swapping out my 13b n/a auto from my s5 91 vert for a 20b TT and I had a few questions. I know the auto tranny won't do for the 20b and I have heard that a TII tranny should be fine. I found an 87 s4 tranny and was wondering if this would swap fine into the s5 without problems. I know that to swap trannys you need every part of whats being swapped in to be the same, s4 or s5. I have seriously searched the forums and cannot find an answer. Which leaves me to believe that there is no problem, but knowing my luck I will get the tranny and learn the hard way it won't fit. Also are there any differences in the s4 and s5 trannys that would make one or the other better for a 20b. I assume that an s5 would be best obviously its not as old but are they stronger than the s4s?

Please don't respond saying just buy a TII and start from there because it will be cheaper etc. I know this already. This is a project for a Vert and there just aren't TII verts in the states that are available.

and so instead of the reasonable path of upgrading a Vert with T2 parts... you chose to drop 10k+ on a 20b... and then you want to twin turbo it? do you know what you're saying?

I actually do.

I will be upgrading the rest of the car with TII parts just not the engine.

I read into someone who did this to a vert and it ran them all-in-all about $25,000.

As for s4/s5 TII trannies: I don't know one difference between the two honestly. Where's the experts to verify this?

A turbo transmission should be able to hold the power of a 20b. I have not done it personally myself ofcourse but I hear no tranny problems from people running 300rwhp.

Stock cosmo motor+ stock TII tranny. Should work fine . If my friend can run 476rwhp on a 13b, you can run a 20b to a stock 5spd.

I know it will work. But thats not the questions. I need to know if an s4 TII tranny will swap into an s5. And if so which is a better tranny to go with for the 20b an s4 or s5.

Considering you are going to have to re weld the mount locations on the frame either way....

S4 or S5, theres really no difference in what tranny can hold X ammount of power. I however have seen more S4's then anything mated to 20b's.... so who really knows...
