alright i got an 88 n\a and its bad enough i got something wrong with the afm or the tps ...but now my warning lights wont turn off and then i have to disconnect the battery every time now...

 

If the warning lights are on while the engine is running, the alternator has failed or broken a belt.

 

After you disconnect the battery, do you reconnect it again? Are your warning lights
still on after you connect it again?

My car sort of has this problem, too. But I soon realized that my warning lights won't
turn off if the car is still cold. For example, if I need to start my car to move it to a
different spot that takes only a few seconds, it won't shut off even if I turn the key
to the 'OFF' position. I'd have to kill the fuel pump, then disconnect the battery.
Otherwise, it'll shut off if it's warmed up a bit.
