Whenever I start the car the voltage guage reads like 8 volts. But when I rev the car to like 3000 rpms the voltage goes up to about 13 volts then stays there. While driving the voltage reads on the line above half way on the guage. What could be wrong? Could it be a bad ground on the battery? Could it be the voltage regulator? Could it be a bad battery? Could it be something else? Recentlymybattery has been dying if I let the car sit for more than three days. I thought it was the battery so I replaced it. The battery that is in the car now is only a few days old. The funny thing is that when I turn the car to the on possition the guage reads only 8 volts; but the cars starts right up no problem. I know it is not just the guage becase the headlights will get ten times brighter whenever the guage finally gets up to par. Please help!!!
