Talking My Transmission is Prettier than YOUR Transmission!!

I had everything out for a clutch change so I thought I'd try something a bit unique and paint my Transmission Blue.

It took three days and two cans of Brakleen and I still didn't get all the gunk off it but it looked much better - some areas almost looked polished.

Here's the Transmission before I did anything to it (Hadn't even cleaned it yet here):

Now here's the PRETTY BLUE ONE!!

I <3 PAINT

I used Ceramic Engine Paint by DupliColor, by the way.

Cheers,
Cody

Nice work. I thought about doing it when I had mine out but I was just eager to drive the car (broke on the way home from buying it).

Since you're car is less than 18 years old, I guess that means you're not turned off by it yet...

so whats wrong with doing stuff like that to an NA...
last time i checked painting your tranny gave you as much HP as decals!
good job bro. it just adds to the overall cleanliness of the car. its harder for gunk to stay on with painted surfaces in my opinion.

I would like to thank magus2222 for the most useless post of the year. God forbid someone put some time into their car to make something look better.

There's nothing wrong with cleaning something up and making it look good. It's not like he added something that's non-functional (or actually hurts performance).
