My supercharged FC - work in progress

Just wanted to post a few pics of my 91 FC that I bought from my best friend two weeks ago down in NC. I only paid $1700 for the car and s/c. The car dark blue with a light blue interior. Before I bought this car I had never seen one this color before. The only issues with the car is carpet and the peeling clear coat on the hood, roof and spoiler. I plan on taking care of both in the next 30 days or so. I drove down to his house this morning to install the s/c but ran out of time before I had to drive back to VA.....cant wait to finish up. We will finish the install next weekend...hopefully I'll get the rest of my mods during the week. I'll post more pics once the install is complete.

Btw the hood is not closed in the pics and the blue carb hat will be replaced by a polished one that I already have. I'm going to fab a 3.5" cold air intake with aluminum intake tube and cap it off with an AEM filter. All my gauges came from Prosport....they will be installed in a custom gauge pod made of fiberglass.

Sorry not for sale. Next year I plan on selling the complete swap to go turbo. I cleaned the side of the engine where the s/c bolts up the best I could. I'm probably gonna have it steam cleaned after the install. My buddy said he would help me break down the motor one day and paint it. I might have him do a mild port job while we have it apart. My main goal right now is to get everything installed and see how she holds up on 10 psi.

Forget the carb hat cone filter thing, go with an normal 14" air cleaner. It will fall flat on it's face at 6500 rpm with a carb hat.

My buddy ran the s/c for years with a hat and never complained of it falling flat but then again he had it on a ported motor with a 100 shot of nos.

I tried this K&N carb hat with a 4" opening and a huge K&N filter, and it sucked.

Here you go.....the inlet is 4". I'm going to custom make a 3.5" cold air intake like I did on my RX8.

I think mine will work cause I am going to incorporate the MAF sensor into the intake. Here are a few pics of my 8....I copied the AEM intake but used 4" pipe up top and 3.5" pipe to run thru the radiator support. I topped it off with a AEM filter.

since you have a throttle body instead of a carb you may have more success than I did, good luck with it.

Got to drive my car for the first time today but ran into a fuel issue. I think I have a bad injector. Will try to post a video once I get the issue resolved but for now here are a few pics I took today.

I took some video footage last time I was at my buddy's house but it didn't come out to well......started getting dark outside. Next time I go down I'll do it first thing.
