my sunroof only tilts up.. it doesnt move back so it doesnt open!! how can i fix it? it worked last week perfectly!!

 

the sun roof probibly came off of its tracks, my friend and I both have the same problem and we got it checked and thats what it is

 

also cleaning & lubing the tracks & gearing would help.

 

I know this kinda sounds stupid, but did you press it twice? Mine you press once and let go to tilt it. Then press and hold to make it slide back.

 

Mine kinda has the same problem but it will open just fine. Closing is the problem. I found this out a few months back when driving through a fast-moving rainstorm (maybe I was the fast-moving one, I don't know) and I got soaked before the roof closed. I have found that it seems to help if you push up and forward on the right side. I will check again to see if it is off its track. I have looked before but I don't remember seing anything out of place. Thanks for the info!
