How is it close to bridge port territory? Kind of hard to get to bridge port territory without opening earlier like well, when you have a bridge port. It closes fairly late but so do all large ports??
Going by those pics Id say you have lots of work to do on the bowls and could clean up the transition quite a bit.
Keep at it, your on the right track but I just dont see perfection here. I certianly would not pay for it.

As far as the port opening goes the timing advance is large enough that putting a bridge on the secondaries would be extremely difficult if not impossible without having the bridge crack after relatively low mileage. However , with all that being said I appreciate your constructive criticism.

nice and lopy as a rotary should be. I would love to see what your porting templates look like. do your ports keep the tips of the side seals suported. and did you just do a street tune?

here are some pictures of the ports in my engine during porting. So that's the stock port on the left and the stage 3 on the right. The Bridgeport is something I'm working on now. I took the BP pic on my cell phone. So sorry about the size. The polishing in my engine is slightly less than that in the BP, but I personally feel that super smooth walls in the intake ports reduces fuel atomization by reducing turbulence in the ports. Although, I don't have anything scientific to prove that. I've just always had more torque with less smooth ports ; so I use that style on my personal engines.
hopefully you don't take too much offense..
the loping isn't due to the porting, no streetport including the massive judge ito ports lope like that, your tune is bad and dumping about twice as much fuel as the car needs(or you have a fuel system issue that needs to be resolved). i can get a stock ported motor to sound like that.
about 10 years of experience porting these engines and even with paper thin walls i get them to idle silky smooth with large streetports. a bridge on the other hand no, you can't do anything to mask the overlap.
you could cut out a streetport until the corner seals are riding on a hair and it wouldn't phase the idle much if it is tuned properly.
in fact porting is a placebo for just about anything with a stock intake manifold and throttle body. the gains from most setups even with massive ports is very minor. with turbo motors i almost consider it a waste of time. it's too bad so many irons had to be sacrificed.

As for the intake and throttle modifications. I wouldn't say porting is a placebo. I intend to change my manifold and throttle body, but i had planned that originally but not because.of any dissatisfaction with the stock intake..the throttle body has been modified however for faster throttle response.

That my car isn't the only one that sounds like that! For a while I thought maybe the guy that had help me do the port had done something wrong because it sounded like I had a loped cam or something (yes I know rotarys don't have cams back under the bridge you trolls). Anyways, sounds beautiful and is refreshing to hear another beastly 13B purr oh so nicely. Two thumbs up!
