my seven, r.i.p.

so i took my car to speedy brake center about a month and a half ago to get my reart brakes done. they replaced the rear calipers and when io got it back the e-brake never really felt the same but it still worked so i said nothing. well tongiht i was working (at blockbuster) and i go out to start it so i have to take it out of gear. i go to change and come out of the back room to find my mexican friend ( nicknamed mex) telling me my car rolled down a small hill (which it was parked on) and hit another girl who worked at the bbv's car. at first i thought he was joking and then his face told the truth. i ran out to find my baby sitting rubbed up beside a civic hatchback. i am going tommorrow to ******* kill the speedy guys. that car sat in my garage for ten months while i fixed it up and now it has been fucked up when i wasn't even in it over somethihng i had no control over? hell no. so there was a shot of the finest liqour i could find tonight. i did it and i think you guy should do one too. i love my car but it is turning out ot be a **** load of cash that i don't know i want to spend. anyways just wanted you to heasr my heart breaking story. peace

If they fucked up, you should be able to take them to court or get them to pay for damages.... If it wasn't their fault, then i'm sorry to hear about that

thanks guys it means a lot to get sympathy from people who know about the cars rather than friends who just say "woah you fucked up your sweet car".

Dude I feel for ya, but with a rotary engine, you NEED an E brake.

Ok now on the court thing, good luck there, cuz they're gonna say why didnt you bring it back? Or how can you proove that what happened is our fault. Im not taking up for the ********, cuz probally is their fault, maybe. But maybe the E brake cable snapped? Man it will cost more to proove it was their fault and go to court than fix it... The halls of justice are usually painted green!
Id go bitch (first try being firm, then if it gets you no where then start really showing your ***! LOL) , but doubt its gonna get you anywhere? If this is a chain of stores? Bad publicity is the best thing, they will really like that car parked on a public street right by them with a BIG SIGN, saying this is what my car looks like now, considering they didnt hook something back up ete.

We had a guy here in our town, by a car from the Chevy dealer. It was like a newer camaro, like 6 months outta warranty. He had some work done on it there and they screwed up something and he wrecked it (even prooven by the insurance company!--they left a brake line on the ABS loose or soemthing and it leaked out most of the fluid in a hard stop or something). He towed the car down there on a public street right in front of the showroom, stood there on the street with a BIG *** sign taped to the windshield and backglass saying 'blah, blah, blah' It drew attn, and then he got a big writeup in the local paper, after 2 days of this. Guess what they gave him a car to shut up!

Dude, I work with used cars on a daily basis. I install car stereos, and have for the last 12 years professionally. Anything that will go wrong with a used car usually does. Man I have had people blame me for a clutch going out, seriously! I mean man **** happens, but if someone did this with a car in front of my store. Id be checking in to it, really fast! Reputation is a very important thing when dealing with the public. Im very very picky when I work on peoples cars, if I dont have two identical screws next to each other, I have a really bad day. LOL Seriously... I dont treat customers cars like there someone elses' I treat them like their my OWN!

yeah i thought about them trying to disprove what happened but to replace the rear calipers don't you have to disconnect the e-brake? i'm taking it in tommorrow probably to see what exactly went wrong then we may know what exactly happened. and i won't be taking them to court, if anything mediation.

Mediate but always hold the threat of a JURY trial over thier head. It helps. Just goingto judge you might not win, but companies rarly win if you get a jury of you rpeers involved.
