my s5 died on me

well... yesterday i parked my S5 near a curb in front of my store and i shouldnt be parking there.... so i decided to move it..

my s5 has a Fuel Cut switch so thats how i shut off the car... anyways.... i know its not flooded because its not.. i wanted to move it... lol...

anyways... so i walk over to the car... stick my key in... first thing i notice is the Kill switch light doesnt illuminate anymore.... ok.. big deall... so then i proceed to try and start it.. and it doesnt start... only cranks....so i was like wtf....so i pulled out the switch and hooked up the two wires for the pump switch.... so it was like back to stock agian.. still no start... so no clue as to what happened...

i towed the car to my friends shop as to see what was going on.. he is gonna take a look at it 2morrow morning.. but i wanted to get a general idea of what could be wrong...

i mean i Parked it.. went to move it like an hour later.. and nothing.. just cranks and cranks..

btw before you guys even say it... its not flooded...

its flooded. Pull the EGI INJ fuse and crank it. You say it isn't flooded, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't. Try it, it only takes 2 minutes.

well, there are only a handful of reasons why the car wouldn't start. One reason would be flooding. Since you've ruled that out, you're left with low compression (pray for your wallet) or: A dying battery may be the culprit. Was the car cranking slower than usual or was it cranking at the regular speed? I suppose it could be a crazy huge vacuum leak but that would be painfully obvious while looking in the engine bay. It could be carbon locked, but since you just drove it, that is about impossible. Maybe you're not getting a spark. If your kill switch light wasn't illuminated then perhaps it malfunctioned before you turned the car off? If the spark plugs have gasoline on them they will not usually fire. Take out your spark plugs and see if they smell like gas. If they do, crank the car with the spark plugs with the pedal to the floor and wait until no more vapor comes out of the engine, dry off your plugs or preferrably, get new ones, then put them back in and start the engine. It could also be your plug wires. If one of the leading plugs is faulty it could cause one rotor not to fire and might cause a starting problem. Hope this helps. Let me know what happens.

Check if gas is going thru main fuel line. You can tell by touching the line with your fingers.

I would suspect something in the pump wiring if your light was no longer working...

jumper the fuel pump jumper on the pass shock tower. turn the key to on. and listen for the pump running in the back. or check it for 12v witih a meter.
