My Rx7's not starting

Angry My Rx7's not starting

hey guys wuts up i have a 1990 mazda rx7 gtu today it over heated with out me noticing the belt had poped now my baby don't start what could it be???? it cranks and it sounds like it wants 2 turn over but it those nothing i even got my neighbors push start it and still. Could it be that i broke something in the motor????

no. you probably wouldn't have broken anything in the motor. by the way, which belt? how bad did it overheat (ex. do you still have coolant, oil). what's telling you it overheated? give me some more info to work with.

could be your blew a seal in the housing. Check the compression.

bro it overheated really bad i didn't even notice that it was overheating intill the car shut off and the belt that broke runs the fan and the altenator no it didn't have coolaint

Check your compression, do a de-flood and see if it starts.

IF you get it running at that point do a coolant seal test.

All these can befound in the archives.....

And for the love of gawd....watch your gauges....

You can send power to the fuel pump by shorting a test plug in the engine bay on the passenger side. Do a full fuel test, pressure, gas in tank (yes, I have seen this), prime the lines, check for power. One check the FSM doesn't tell you is to pinch the return line while checking the the fuel pressure to see if it increases pass the spec. This will tell you if you have a good pressure building fuel pump.
