My Rx7 Wont Start now with the new exhaust...

Well before i had a 3'' straight pipe with a cherry bomb...so as you could expect it was very loud. Then for the past three weeks i ahve been piecing the new exhaust (2.5'' self made "Magnaflow" exhaust). The Real preblem is that after i put the new exhaust up and tried to start the car it doesnt start. It turns over and over but wont fully start. Where I think the problem lies is that during the time i was putting it on I had one side Jacked up and started it like three times (and had low gas). So maybe the fuel pump had something wrong with it...idk??
Please help me...any help would be great...thanks!

If your fuel pump sucked some air or goo then it might be the problem.

How long did you let it run the last time you started it?

I let it run for about a minute if that...
my brother wanted to hear what it sounded like...

i took out the fuel pump and the fuel filter last night...
and i hooked the fuel pump to the battery and it seemed to work...
the fuel filter looks a lil dirty but still looks runnable...

I read in my book and it said to bridge the yellow two pin connector...
then when i did it and turned on the key...
it makes a buzz...
but the buzz doesnt go away...
it just keeps going...
is the fuel pressure off...
and if so...how to a re-pressurized it?

i tested the fuses on the kickpanel..
and all of them worked...
so i dont know what the problem is?

Your fuel pump is definitely kaput. Basically what happened is, since the fuel level was so low the pump was working hard to get the fuel up and sucking in a lot of air...the thing is yours isnt fully done, it still operates but its not providing sufficient fuel pressure to run the motor.

So, what i'm saying is replace the pump and the relay (its like 10 bucks) it should solve your problem...if not you can kick me in the nuts.

Btw I had a similar problem with my t-bird. The pump worked periodically and I could here its buzzing but I had no pressure...I replaced the pump. Now, what I did to start it was I jumped the relay with a wire then after it worked fine I checked the relay with an ohmmeter and it checked out...cars fine now.

Alright well i check the ohmmeter to the fuel pump realy and it doesnt even work. I connected it to the battery and then hooked it up and it read 0. So tommrow i will go and get those parts.
I thought that I might of fried the relay by welding...but i guess by what you are saying it did it on its own?
But in the meantime is there anything else I could check maybe?

Feel the fuel line going *TO* the fuel injectors.
Crank the motor or get the fuel pump running...
Do you feel the fuel line getting stiff?
If it doesn't, the fuel pump is no good.

After you said this I am thinking maybe you have just flooded it haha and you could be doing the old throw parts at it trick...

c'mon get it started so you can kick the former t'bird owner in the nuts hahaha...
