I tried taking the plugs out and spray the fuel out the spark plug holes and then I put tranny fluid in the holes and when I tried to start it and it ran for about 30 seconds then it quit. when I started rolling it there was a puddle of gas I think the fuel pump might be gone does this sound right. i also think that there is a hole in the line.

 

How many miles on the engine? Done a compression test?

If she ran for 30 seconds, then the pump WAS working, at least...

Umm, hole in the line should be easy to spot (or smell)...

When was the last 60K tuneup?

 

first thing is first, check for the fuel leak, fix it, then recheck the car.

even a moderate fuel system leak can cause your pressure to bleed down enough that it would only run for a short period.
