My RX7 woes
Well, I have an 86 NA that kinda starts sometimes if it doesn't flood. The compression is good. I've had it running and it DOES NOT want to stay running at idle. When I drive it around, it seems like it runs at half the power it should. (I had another rx7 so I know the difference.) The exhaust is basically not connected from the pre cat back (so damn loud!) and the vac line from the water thermal valve to the double throttle diaphram is not hooked up.
Any ideas? I also checked the spark on all plugs, and the worked great when cranked. Maybe injector issue?
Thanks again guys!

Gee.. thanks for the help there *******. Don't you belong in the lounge somewhere?
To the OP: So, you have the double throttle plates closed constantly, and you have no exhaust so your aux ports aren't opening.....
You've tested compression I'm guessing from your "The compression is good" statement.. What numbers did you get? If you truly do have good compression, and it is still flooding at times... I would remove your injectors and send them in for utrasonic cleaning/flow testing. They could be sticking open/shut/etc at different times.
Other than what you mentioned - what have you tried?

So far all I really did was listen to the motor crank over with the plugs out and I got the steady whooshes that I should be getting. Checked the coils for good fire too. I also repaired the broken vac hose coming from the exhaust to the six port deal. I'm going to get the exhaust closed up and replace the broken check valve for the vac hose that runs from the thermal thing to the double throttle diaphram.
Thanks again for all the help. This forum is awesome!
