I finished my rebuild last nite, its in the car and i went to go fire it up and she started up decently, when she was on she was constantly at 4000 to 4200 rpm. Whats going on. I am going to tune it as best as I can wed. could it be TPS, Timing, Etc. Any suggestions would be helpful

Oh yah, one more thing, my whole idiot light cluster is lit up when the car is on, whats going on here??

You missed a connector while hooking up the Wiring Harness. Maybe you missed two connectors....maybe.

I would start with every connector on the Wiring harness and move on from there. I would way your cold start up sequence was making the motor rev but you added that your light cluster is lit up..................

 

use your idle adjust screw on the back of the TB to bring it back down ... if thats not it it might be your throttle cable is stuck ... or maybe the linkage is stuck on the harness loom that runs behind the altenator ... mine has done tha tbefore


i would check your idle adjust scre first though .. after i removed my emissions it did something similar to tht ... i just had to twist the screw until it came back down to normal
