I installed a new ACT 4 puck few days ago, now whenever i pull out of first gear right at the friction point the rear end shakes real bad and when i rev high and shift hard the rear end knocks. is this just my clutch engaging harder or is my rear end going out....or maybe something else?...
just crawl under and look for the points where the diff is linked to the chassis and there should be some bushings at each point, first check to see if they are there at all, if they are jiggle them around abit and if it feels real loose they are whored, they also may show signs of cracking

Front diff mount.
IN 1st gear, mash the throttle, let off, mash, let off...if you reproduce the thump repeatedly this way, this is what you've broken.

i have the same clutch and my car does the same thing. i called ACT about it they said it was normal...but i think my diff mounts are bad too cuz i can feel it move. i just need to have someone check it out.
i have a small problem kinda like that with my xtreme HD act clutch and Lightened flywheel . i just figuired it as normal. now i can drive it pretty smooth with a lil more clutch work. but the mounts are something im going to have to check.

Maybe it's chunks of rubber being ripped off the tires of the team redline car!

The rear mounts almost never break. It'll be the front one causing the problem. To replace it, you pretty much have to drop the rear subframe. It's about a 2-3 hour job for me, plan on the whole day if you're doing it yourself.
Also, running that clutch, you're just gonna continue to break stock rubber ones in the future. I'd strongly suggest a custom solid one or a comp mount of some sort so you only have to do this job once.
Some of the high power and v8 guys even put a bumpstop above the diff (mounted to the floorpan in the bin/hatch area) so take stress off the front diff mount.

i was looking at this competition mount, what should i get.. this mount, a solid, or i saw this one guy put a pinion snubber in with a competition mount. what would benefit the most?

Just remember that with varying torque loads (clutch in, clutch out) the diff wants to move up and down. Our mounts break so easily because theyre trying to hold these forces from the side. The stronger you can make this, the better off you'll be in most cases...the next thing in line to break is the transmission.
