My Project Vert

Just thought I'd post a little on my vert project here

Bought as an import from japan with terribly faded paint, but had a rebuilt engine so buying it was a no brainer. *Speaking from an aussie viewpoint here guy's*

http://members.westnet.com.au/helpme...burner_rx7.jpg

Came with

Rebuilt engine - possiblely street ported - still haven't pulled down to check
Kyb Super Street suspension
Ported wastegate on the turbo
BBS Wheels (infinni?)
Personal Steering Wheel
K&N Pod filter
After market Twin exhaust
Factory Sports Aero Kit and Leather Seats - ok not a mod Wink
Knight sport's fuel cut defender
Blitz Super Sonic BOV
Some kind of aftermarket brake pads =)

Mods since bought and done on WIP

Apexi Power FC & map sensor
Boost & Temp guages
Greddy Throttle Elbow
Rewired Fuel pump and relay moved to rear
Bosh Fuel pump
FD3S RE Amemiya Responce air Filter
Cooling Mist Water injection
Craig Davies E-Fan
Rear Spoiler
RE Amemiya Strutt Brace's
RE Amemiya Leads
Greddy Type R BOV
Trust 4inch IC.
Adapted a custom FD3S TD05-18g Twin turbo manifold, required spacer plate and adding longer studds to clear LIM.
TD05 18G turbo's
Dual external wastegates (nissan, possiblely from GTR or Z32?)

Sorry for the shopping list there, but easier to just list everything instead of plodding my way through a detail description of everything.

A few current WIP engine bay pic's

Yere I know a few people will call me Stupid for mounting the IC in the stock location. It's to freakin' thick to front mount, without ripping of the AC and moving the radiator further back in the bay. Aussie summer is coming up and AC ain't going to be removed anytime soon. I will go vmount later on though. Beside with water injection and some thermo-tec heatshielding on the IC and the fact I don't drive in traffic very often should help reduce the heat soak abit.

Once the exhaust is install and she's running then it's onto the braking and suspension. Maybe oneday she'll get a new lick of paint.

Abit of an update. Have now switched to a front mount IC, buddy club racing coilovers have been fitted and am currently fitting my Amemiya FC2000 front bumper. Custom intake manifold is still on the build, awaiting FD throttle body.

A couple of wip pic's..

That's marine exhaust pipe hosing used to join the pipes there, able to shape it and holds up to boost pressure very nicely =)

Thanks Vegard

Well it's up and running now =) Should see how fast the compressor rotates at idle.
Even though it's go much longer ic piping now boost still seems to be building around 2000rpm. Will now better when I get a commander to play around with the Fuel setting in the power fc, till then granny driving and hunting for any gremlins that might appear..

More pic's soon if anyone is interested...

I was about to comment on the goofy intercooler having three pipes...Then I scrolled down and saw why. If the wheels are 16", then they are Infini IV wheels. Unless damn Cabriolets came with 16" mesh wheels too, which I doubt.

I rather like the intercooler in the stock position. It looks DAMN goofy being as small as it is and in the front. It would have to be way bigger to look right with an Amemiya bumper.
