My project 88 TII
How you like it. side skirt is custom made by myself using fiberglass kit. not finish yet as you can see, more sanding is needed. Getting Grandtorismo style wing and racing gas cap soon. wanting to get 250hp at the wheel.

I really like the look of the straight line at the bottom of the side skirt. I really would like to see it a finished product, and if you have the mold, what kind of deal can we work out? I may want to pick up a pair from you.

no I don't have the mold..I shape the form using sculptoring clay from art store, cover it with tin foil and then apply fiberglass from canadian tire store. when it harden I pull it out and clay was destroyed in the process..I won't have it on the road until probably next spring. I found that most body kit does not look nice because they have too many fancy angle, curves or holes, that does not go with the flow of the rx7 design. I like the straight line looks it goes with the flow of the rx7 design. it make the car looks like it's glued to the ground and very low. a friend also have turbo 2..when I finish he want to make a cop.. this is my first attempt so can't wait until I finish..my brother have a twin turbo 300z..he want me to design and build a body kit for him..after I finish I will.
I live in Windsor, ontario, canada. anyone from this area??maybe we could hook up and swap ideas..
wanting to get it to look simular to this gtr wing and side.

i love it. thats a **** load of clay to make something like that. lol. how long did it take for you to shape the clay? did you shape it with the clay stuck to the car or just with it sitting on the table? looks great. keep us informed as you work on it.

Not that much clay..for the bottom that run along the length of the side I use aluminum panel (founded next to my neighbor's garage..must be his hehehey..hope he doesn't notice it on my car..cool guy though). bolt onto the bottom..this will stay there permanently..also added strength..and yes I sculpt the clay right onto the body..took me a while..I'm still learning..

Oooh, daddy likes
I've always liked when people shave the gas cap filler door and relocate it behind a hinged tail light, but that seems to be more of a trend with trucks and SUV's
