Im putting in a new stock excedy clutch kit. But the pressure plate doesnt fit, it lines up and everything and you can get it a little on the guide bolts but it wont go all the way on? so I tried putting old stuff back on and now i have the same problem with that, what is it?

the bolt holes are actually different depths. 3 long and 3 short. (great mazda engineers at work again)

Pull all the bolts out and group them in the short and long then try a hole (without the pressure plate installed) and see if a long one will fit. If it does, you're set. If not then try the next hole over. Remember witch hole was deep and then put the PP back on and alternate from there.

I had the same thing happen with my first clutch job on a 7.
