My oil pressure guage stopped working today when...

I was driving in the city today and a new Silverado started pulling out in front of me. EEEEK! I just got my RX7 and I love it, so I made a quick decision and swerved and braked a bit... well the car missed his truck and then spun completely around the other way... Talk about adrenaline rush. I pulled off the road immediately and the guy came over appologising and all... I caught my breath and then shook his hand and got in my car and started driving away. Well I noticed that now my oil pressure guauge is not working after that close call spin out. I checked fuses and looked in my haynes book to trace wires... No luck, so I need help, any pictures or info on where the problem could be? I know the car still drives great and all but I want to get that guage back up and running... even if I have to replace a part. I am not sure if this is at all related to my oil pump...? Please give me the knowledge...

The sender is just under the oil filter. It is round and has a little pin sticking out. A single wire white connector slides perpendicular and onto that pin. Make sure it didn't fall off when you spun the car.

+1, mine rattled loose once and gave me quite a scare. Oil pump should be fine unless you whacked the oil pan on something.

Excellent help guys! Thankyou very much. I did not hit it on anything, just a flat land triple lane city road. I am still so glad I didn't hit that guy, it scared the heck out of me and I was nice, even it being his fault... Over all I am just glad my baby didn't get a scratch.
