I may have been confused. The link I sent gives the core measurment as 600mm x 300mm x 76mm which may be the core size, which is very close to the overall size of the FC greddy 32r.

Not really.
600mm x 300mm x 76mm = 24" x 12" x 3"
This is more inline with the GReddy 24R / 24V.
The 32R is actually smaller in terms of cross sectional area, but it is thicker.

what happened to your stock IC?

Do you still have it? Would you want to get rid of it?
Pls. e-mail me at erixhvn@aol.com if you're interested in doing so.

It's a "mini cooler". I really dont know what to say, you are gonna wanna go with more mods in the future, everyone does eventually, so that won't be efficient for long. One of a kind though, never seen that, very original.

That is definitely the core size. The link you posted was the same guy I bought my IC from -- the measurements he gives in mm are the core measurements. He also includes inches measurements which are usually the overall size with endtanks and in/outlets. He was quick to respond to my questions when I asked about the sizing.

Don't take this the wrong way, but as I mentioned, if you are patient and do a bit of research you can find the right measurements to fit w/o taking off your bumper reinforcement. In fact, there is a thread on this forum with pictures of exactly that. You can also find the right size core (as I mentioned) that will fit in the space behind the A/C heat exchanger.

So just because everyone else jumps off a bridge or removes their bumper reinforcement, doesn't mean you have to. Take your time, be patient, do research, and spend your money wisely -- notice I didn't say cheaply. The point of some of these responses is the fact for nearly the same money, you could have gotten a better IC that would still fit up front where you put yours and you won't have wasted your time fitting IC piping that will have to be replaced or redone later if you ever upgrade. Not to mention that if you ever do upgrade your turbos that your IC will not be effective enough and that you might have some trouble getting it off your hands (w/o losing a reasonable amount of money).

For what it's worth, I might be one of the most impatient folks around -- my friends have started calling me Travis "the impatient" if that tells you anything.
But it's still worth your time and money to take a moment to do some research.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be a jerk -- just offering a bit of constructive criticism for you and anyone else that happens upon this thread. Hope it helps, if not, then ohwell...

I "happened" upon this thread and I'm glad I did. I just ordered the same 450x300x76 intercooler that you researched ahead of time for me...lol...thanks.

What are you doing for piping? I was looking at the univeral kits that are on ebay..any feedback on going this route?

That's what I figured and should have done my homework 1st. Too bad the guy i bought mine off of never answered my email and consequently I got the mini-cooler. If I can't sell it perhaps i can turbocharge my lawnmower with it.

Glad I could help -- uhh, before I knew it.

I've got an ebay pipe kit coming (today in fact). Honestly have no idea if it will work out or not but I'll be able to fit it up close and if it looks like it will work, I'll make the cuts and install -- if not, then I'll just throw it up for sale or something.

I'm more or less documenting most of my build-up in the thread below -- so if you want to see how it goes, keep your eye on this thread for updates:
