My new engine is done! raH!

Just got some pics from the builder. Marvelspeed is the bomb!!! Just had to share my joy with the rest of the community, and yes, I posted this in the 20B section, but since this is going into my FC, I thought I'd let the guys with 2nd gen in their blood see what I'm working on.

FC 4 Life!

If you count the ports.. you will notices 3 small and 3 big.. the small are i believe the primaries & the large ports are the secondaries..

Right! and if you look on the second set of primaries (the ones on the right), you will see that the left side is WAY bigger than the rest of the primary ports.

Anybody knows why?

It makes sense if you look at it..

The 1st rotor housing has a primary on the left and a secondary on the right.

The 2nd rotor housing has a secondary on the left and a primary on the right.

The 3rd rotor housing has a primary on the left and secondary on the right.

They probably did this so the could use most of the 3rd gen parts ie rotor housings And most of the intermediate housings except the odd one.

Get it?

I think that is just the secondaries that are bigger.. but the primaries and the intermediate with the 2 primaries is probably the same as either a FD or Cosmo motor.

And that is why they did the funky 2nd intermediate housing.

Ok, the engine is here... do you want me to call you when we're ready to drop the engine in? I suspect it will happen on, at the earliest, Thursday. Hopefully get the IC piping marked off that day as well... then taken to the machine shop and welded for Friday...

Hopefully, if the engine goes in on Thursday, we'll figure out the intake and IC plumbing on Friday, wire the bitch on Saturday and maybe get it started then... we'll see.

The port runners are larger on the 13B-RE Cosmo

The actual port timing is the same.
