My New Baby
I should have really posted 3 months back when I first brought this, my memerey is already messy but here goes.
I picked it up in perth for $6500 I had been looking for a couple of months. I forget all the mods it looks mostly standard bar, act clutch, knightsport chip and turbo set at 7psi.
I drove it the 1700km from Perth to Port Hedland in 40+C* with no air con. I got trapped in Newman 3/4 of the way back due to bush fires and couldn't leave till 2am 15 hours later.
But that aside it's a beautifully clean build series 4 with an S5 engine. I have a varicool II a platinum sport 1000 and a greddy spec 2 boost controller all pulled from my last project car. All now installed on the T2.
I'm still missing a water meth tank and I need to finish the wiring for wideband o2 and the EGT probes. When I installed the PS1000 I tried to keep the knight sport chip in line so that I could unplug it and plug in the PS1000, so... I would still be able to drive as normal while I was tuning. But that didn't work. Also for some reason I was unable to get a reading from the factory IAT but the car will start on a base map... and die.
I have the PS1000 IAT sensor that it came with i'm just waiting for an npt threading tool to come on ebay, so I can install it.
I will update as I go, eventually I'm aiming for 500HPish I realise I will need to upgrade my fuel system and turbo before that. Can't afford the ID injectors and turbo etc right now.
