my new 89TII pics
I hate to be a noob and a hater but I just picked up a 87 T2 for 1000 dollars.
I wasn't really looking for one because I had an ae86 project I wanted to complete
so more or less I was looking for a daily driver and what a daily driver I found.
the thing only has like 83,000 miles and the turbo spools up fine only complaints are poor electricals

i hate to be a hater also. but i bought one last night for 450 bux. and it is in damn good shape with 101k miles on it and it runs but it has a blown coolent seal. and no rip in the driver seat. it is a 87 turbo II and i love it.
i wont be a hater so ill tell you that i paid just over 5k for mine. its an 89 TII it had like 124k with a new j-spec motor in it. to the day its still running, (20k miles ive put on it) and it still has 110 on the fron rotor and 120 on the rear rotor.. i dont regret it, just remember say thanks to F&F they rais the value of our cars every time!
Wow, your car/story is EXACTLY like mine. I bought a 90 TII last september for $1000 with a blown motor. It is in excellent condition, but has 141k miles. I FINALLY got a motor put in it a few weeks ago. Man, it was worth the wait. It is a fun car to drive. Good luck with yours... Got any interior pics?
So far I'm Loving it ! I peeled out the other day and I was surprised that I didn't get "one tire fire"! kinda sucks that nobody knows about em too much though.
I went to a shop on friday with the misleading name of "the japanese auto pros".
Living here in phoenix I wanted my A/C to work again, so I asked for a quote on a compressor replacement and a full tune up. I pop my hood and first question I got was "where are the spark plugs?" haha. I ended up wasting a whole day with other shop's useless rants and quotes and got nowhere. I'm done with made up mechanic lingo. tonight i'm gonna hit the books (factory shop manuals) and learn stuff myself. In case something goes wrong anyone know any good rotary buffs in phoenix?

My thoughs exactly.. probably running around with the wastegate disconnected or something equally stupid.
Oh well, it will be a nice car once u get the rebuild done .. Is the suspension tight? That price is worth the low mileage, but its kinda hard to put miles on a car with a blown motor.
