My new 88 GTU....

I am very pleased with my new 88 GTU! Its been garaged, non smoker owned, new clutch, exhaust, brakes, battery and tires...
Runs perfect...
No mods yet, maybe a header soon & intake...Shock will be needing to be repalced, but the car is so solid....love it!
I loved my ole Turbo II, but I am kinda suprised I have been getting about 22 MPG with my GTU...
Here is a picture of her....

Heheh, welcome to the light side.

Everything that turbo II has to offer except the turbo and shortened life.

Prepare to have it until you decide to buy a new car.

Mines running rough but I love it.

Hey Guys, Another member from Minn. bought the ole T2...He's a good guy that will take good care of her...

Thanks, I like it, I do miss the 16" "meats" of the T2...
This GTU does have 144k so I didn't have to pay too much...

Cool, about the only thing thats not working right on her is the sunroof moves just a little from the closed position, then you have to use the crank a couple turns, then it works with the button the rest of the way open? I have tried to lube it, but not luck yet...

I had a black 88 GTU many years back, but this one is in much better overall condition. Its fun!
