My new 87 Turbo II! (PICS)

I just picked up my new turbo II for $1000. Besides the crazy *** uphill and downhill one lane roads of Highway 41 and rain, today was great, or i mean yesterday. I gave it a compression test and got 91 front and 90 rear for overall compression and it had even bounces of 65psi on all three faces. Not bad for 150k. It still pulls hard in 1st,2nd, and 3rd. Theres a few minor problems with the electrical stuff and exhaust leak, but the motor runs really good and smooth. This car was a steal. Exterior and Interior is pretty good as well and came with a nice Cd player with 500w jensen amp and a full s4 t2 workshop manual. I'm glad I went through last nights crazy *** obstacles to get this car. After I give it a tuneup and fix the problems which I have a lot of extra parts laying around, I plan to add some aftermarket toys to make things even better like full 3" exhaust, hks intake, mbc set at 10psi, safc, fuel pump, hks bov, strut bars, s5 body and new blaze red paint, and it will be ready to be sold. Best thing is that I have all these parts already. I would keep it, but I do need money for bills and for more projects and more money for my next white s5 t2. in the meantime, I will be patient for that shell, and will be starting my rebuild on my s5 motor and when its done it will just wait for that new shell. Well, theres pics of my new 87 TII in the link below. I want to thank Ryan for selling me such a great car for such a great price. Check out the pics and enjoy.

looks awesome!! especially for 1K. you cant beat that! i like your mods plan. all except for the S5 body conversion. i'd leave it as is. its a survivor that really hasnt been tampered with. just my opinion though.

I might just leave it as a S4, because its actually pretty clean. I just think that more people is more attractive to s5 which can boost sales. But I will see how it goes.

I doubt it will blow anytime soon at least not before I sell it. Motor runs too good. And I know how shitty engines drive like. I got spare parts, so a rebuild is not out of the question if it somehow comes to that.

Wow... now my "steal" at $3500 seems like a rip off. You got a great deal. paint is nice from what I can see and interior is pretty clean. Get some of the small stuff fixed up and your good to go.

Yours looks just like mine though, mine has/had some of the same problems as yours when I got it. A rear dent, faded paint, minor engine problems, exhaust leak... again, congrats!

thats a steal...very few clean S4s I have seen....mine is one of them lol. I toyed with the fact of making it an S5, but the paint is in too good of shape to pull it all down and have it sprayed. Right now Im just working on getting new plastic side moldings and window trims..mine are starting to fade away...

I'm close, I got my 87 TII for $400, runs but needs minor work.

But still, sounds like he got a good deal, since it runs and drives, I don't think he said anything about it smoking at all so it can't be too far gone.

that was a typo. i was trying to edit, but the site was getting that server failure it always gets then i decided to go to sleep. it gets 75. 75 isnt the best but overall compression was at 91 front and 90 rear which is pretty good for 150k. rotary resurrection says 90 lasts for probably a year or so, but i have a friend whose s5 is at 85psi overall with a t4 turbo and has been running for a few years now. i dont know if he races it(pretty sure he does) but he did let me punch it once. my new 87 t2 smokes just a little on startup but stops after startup. no overheating or blown coolant seals. it drives better than what it shows. it starts up no problem with no trouble.

Just gotta weed those electrical gremlins out. Once everything's said and done, I think this car will sell well.
