Where are you planning on getting it tuned at?

Elite in Minneapolis, Excessive Autosports in Sioux falls (my personal choice) or Road Sounds in Minot? Not sure if Minot has anyone that can actually tune but they do have the Dyno. Excessive & Elite have capable individuals. I'm in Bismarck but my Rx-7 is in Mitchell, SD in storage still :D

Hey, with regards to the 5/6 ports. I'd think that you'd get best performance from removing those systems altogether. Pull the sleeves out and block up the holes. I don't see a reason for them if you're forced induction right?

Z, thanks for doing this, really. I can't thank you enough. SO many people called me crazy and you've just proved them wrong.

Good job man.

Forget the "how to turbo an NA threads". "How to supercharge my NA" will be the next most asked question.

Turblown 04-03-04 10:19 AM

If you do plan on bringing it anywhere in MN to be tuned. PM me; I would like to see the results. A friend of mine is now considering this. We can fab all the stuff ourselves, and for $300 why the hell not?

Mx6-Rx7 Addict 04-03-04 10:33 AM

I bought one yesterday.... hehehe you sir are a great great man... i just hope i dont blow my engine up attempting this.

Phu5ion 04-03-04 11:09 AM

Awesome...

You have done what i've been dreaming of doing for a while now. I want to see your bracket, and maybe get some specs on it. That has been my major hang-up and preventing me from trying this... well that and the whole "thought it was out of my budget" thing. But you may have killed two birds with one stone for me.

Like everyone else has been wanting, when can we expect a write-up?

TwEaK 04-03-04 12:17 PM

yea i know bro i mean mad props on that yea a write up would be great....

neptuneRX 04-03-04 12:42 PM

fg0d 04-03-04 12:59 PM

For $300 I'll buy an N/A and drop this supercharger in.

TwEaK 04-03-04 01:04 PM

Ronac 04-03-04 01:17 PM

Why dont' you run the supercharger vertically?
So you wouldn't need that extra 90 degree bend.

jacobcartmill 04-03-04 01:25 PM

post a writeup.

i'll get a 500 dollar 86 base as a beater and put a fuckin supercharger on it lol :)

rxcyprus7 04-03-04 01:44 PM

KiyoKix 04-03-04 02:40 PM

I could cry right now...this is one of the greatest things to ever happen. Thank God for people using their heads. Now I just wish I would've kept working on the S/C I wanted to fab up :D. Oh well...you can always make something betting...but consider this sir...

You just made the "first" prototype S/C for the 13B that's easily accessible to pretty much anyone. Congrats man...

Kiyo

P.S
We're still waiting for a writeup ;)

KiyoKix 04-03-04 02:41 PM

By the way...how ironic that you waited til 4/1 to put up this post...shame on you man how cruel! :D

Dltreezan 04-03-04 03:46 PM

come on dammit write up write up write up. Anyway we can get a hold of the main server so we can get his IP address and track down where he lives?

Aaron Cake 04-03-04 04:08 PM

Very nice! A few minor suggestions though:

Your inlet and outlet pipes look very small. Increasing their diameter would surly make a large difference.

The outlet pipe plate is quite flat...there isn't a smooth transition between the plate and the pipe...have you considered using the TII air horn? Looks to be almost the perfect shape. Of course, height might become a problem...

Very cool project though. It's nice to know that there are a few around here who don't listen when the "experts" say "Can't be done". :D
