My little RX7 project

Not much, but I decided to share, figured you guys wouldn't mind seeing some repair work done on a car that you love.

*EDIT*
I tried to fix the images, but I was using too many images for my post, so to make things just so much easier, click this link here to view the project.

Heh... have a question for you all as well, if its not to much trouble. Today I replaced my spark plug wires with some nice high grade ones, everything turned out fine except for one small thing. After the car is running for 15seconds, or the ingition is on for 15 seconds, it doesnt matter, the warning buzzard will come on and its loud as hell. At this point I just turn the ignition off.
Today I was testing it out some more and tried to start the car and of course the buzzard came on, when I turned the key, the car just died, everything died. No lights, no power, nothing. Like the battery died. I thought I blew multiple fuses or something, so just to double check I pulled the battery cable and reconnected it, the car now functioned again, so it wasn't a fuse.
Whats happening? I know the cpu has some issues with older solder points breaking, but all I did was change the flippin wires and this problem happened. My warning light panel above the stereo doesn't display anything at all, I think its always been fucked, but im not to sure.

thx for any and all help. Im glad to be a part of this forum

check your grounds and make sure the battery connection is tight. since u said it dealt with the batter im assuming thats ur problem. if the buzzer is on when the car is off, but the key is in the on position, it could be ur coolant, check the level. and if its on. then it beats me. good luck

Its interesting you said that, cause earlier that week I had to remove the whole intake duct up to the throttle body in order to get at that goddamn o2 sensor to replace it. When I removed the intake duct, I also had to remove the primary rad hose that connects to the radiator to the pressure cap. Anyways when I disconnected a slight amound of coolant came out. It really wasn't that much, but maybe it was enoughe to put it on low.

I'll check it out tomorrow morning. thank you!

When you turn the key to the on, not start, position if they flash its telling you the error code stored in the ecu. Check the online factory service manual to decode the flash pattern.

woot, thank you rx7mpguy, that was the problem, coolant. I checked the reserve this morning and it was bone dry, so I filled it up to full. I then poped the coolant cap in the line, removed the filler screw and filled it till it started to come out the filler screw. Put the car to on and waited, nothing happened, so I started it and no annoing buzzard. sweet deal.

This could have saved me a SHITLOAD of thinking if my idiot lights worked... (see other thread)

once again thank you maestro
